COE 90/ Pistachio and Raspberry Glow in the Dark vitrigraph/ 5 ounces
This listing is for 5 ounces of pistachio and raspberry Glow in the Dark Vitrigraph! The pistachio green glows turquoise and the raspberry glows purple. (The vitrigraph in this pack are hollows. Which means you get more than a piece or 2!)
All my vitrigraph is hand pulled in Florida by me using Bullseye Glass.
Vitrigraph is so much fun to add to your projects! Seaweed, flower stems, vines, grass, abstract, curves... the possibilities are endless!
All photos are of an actual batch and are as true to color as possible. Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, colors may appear different on different monitors. I can not guarantee that the color you see on your device is the same as in person.
**Boxes are packed carefully to ensure minimal breakage. However, due to the delicate nature of the vitrigraph, some breakage may occur. **
Glow in the dark glass has phosphorescence... meaning it contains a special substance called phosphor. Phospors give off visible light after being energized. (This means that they have to soak up light for a while before they will glow!) I use strontium aluminate which is a new phosphate that allows a "super" glow! It stores about 10 times more light than zinc sulfate (Another type of phosphor used to create glow in the dark items). As a result... the glow lasts longer!
Why the green glow?
The human eye is particularly sensitive to green light... so green appears brightest to us. Green phosphor also absorbs a wide range of wavelengths of light to produce a glow. Other colors require specific wavelengths of light to work. Green is easy to charge, long lasting and bright!
