This listing is for a 2 ounce pack of different glow in the dark cane & Murrini. The packs consist of odds & ends pieces: Cane that was too thick or too thin; straws (the hollow parts you get at the end of a pull); leftovers from packages and one off experiments. They are all still perfectly usable and a great opportunity to play with adding glow in the dark to your art!

Handmade in the PNW using Bullseye Glass (COE 90)

All photos are of an actual pull and are as true to color as possible. Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, colors may appear different on different monitors. I can not guarantee that the color you see on your device is the same as in person.

Glow in the dark glass has phosphorescence... meaning it contains a special substance called phosphor. Phospors give off visible light after being energized. (This means that they have to soak up light for a while before they will glow!) I use strontium aluminate which is a new phosphate that allows a "super" glow! It stores about 10 times more light than zinc sulfate (Another type of phosphor used to create glow in the dark items). As a result... the glow lasts longer!

Why the green glow?

The human eye is particularly sensitive to green light... so green appears brightest to us. Green phosphor also absorbs a wide range of wavelengths of light to produce a glow. Other colors require specific wavelengths of light to work. Green is easy to charge, long lasting and bright!
