COE 90 Turquoise Blue Glow in the Dark Murrini 1.5oz and 3.0oz

This listing is for 1.5 or 3.0 ounces of turquoise blue Glow in the Dark Murrini. Handmade in the PNW using Bullseye Glass (COE 90)

**In the video the color appears more blue. It is a very pretty aqua/turquoise color!**

Canes are approx. 2 1/2" long and will vary in diameter.

Glow in the dark glass has phosphorescence... meaning it contains a special substance called phosphor. Phospors give off visible light after being energized. (This means that they have to soak up light for a while before they will glow!) I use strontium aluminate which is a new phosphate that allows a "super" glow! It stores about 10 times more light than zinc sulfate (Another type of phosphor used to create glow in the dark items). As a result... the glow lasts longer!

Why does the Blue appear to not be as bright as the green?
Well... the easy answer is that the light source to charge the glow needs to be at a higher frequency than the light it emits. Green is at a lower frequency than blue. Therefore, it has more sources it can use to absorb energy. So the blue isn't able to get the same amount of energy as the green. If you want a quick charge, I always recommend a UV light!
